Melinda Hinson is a personal brand strategist at Brand Builders Group who helps purpose-driven authors bring their message to life and build platforms that make a difference. 

A bestselling author and former vice president of strategy at Forbes Books, Melinda brings unmatched insight into what it truly takes to write, publish, and promote a book that stands the test of time. She is the author of Eat In Not Out and Heart & Sole, two titles that reflect her lifelong passion for health, wellness, and intentional living. 

With twenty-five years of brand marketing experience, she has guided global giants such as Starbucks, Microsoft, Polaroid, and HP, as well as fast-moving startups like Evoca TV and mylackey.com. She founded and ran her own brand marketing agency, partnering with companies large and small to launch new products, lead integrated campaigns, and build brands that resonate—always keeping purpose at the center. 

Melinda has also shared her expertise as an adjunct professor at Seattle University, where she taught business communications and marketing. Her courses inspired students to deliver compelling presentations and develop strategic approaches to revenue generation. 

A full-merit scholar with a nutrition degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an MBA from the College of William & Mary, Melinda blends analytical depth with creative vision.
