You can think of the yields generated through social media versus blogging in golfing terms, you drive for show but putt for dough. People tend to get hung up on the glamour of Instagram likes and followers, but the truth is that a blog post wins hands down when it comes to generating continuous and sustainable traffic. We were blessed to speak about this and other related ideas on today’s episode with OG health blogger Elizabeth Rider! Elizabeth is a health and business expert and coach, and recent author of The Health Habit. Blogging has taken her to the point where she owns a seven-figure business, has over 100 000 people on her email list, and gets 700 000 to a million views each month on her blog!

In our discussion today, Elizabeth talks about why blogs work so well, weighing in on the idea that Instagram posts basically get lost and don’t reach that far, whereas blog posts get cataloged by Google so they keep popping up in searches. Our conversation then turns to how to optimize and allow social media, blogging, and email list strategies to feed into each other, and Elizabeth gives us tip after tip to really stoke these fires expertly. Finally, we hear about the structure of her own business model and how her strategy of sticking to one topic and just posing consistently about that year after year ended up becoming a huge success. Elizabeth’s key message today is about the value of sharing the things you find that serve you because these will no doubt serve others. Tune in to hear about how having an abundance-based approach to blogging can take your business to the moon and back today!
