Hey there, I’m Elyse Archer, Visibility Coach for Purpose Driven Professionals. Today I wanted to create a video for you about how to get clarity on the next level of your personal brand.
If you’re like a lot of my clients, you have these big goals, dreams and aspirations of the impact you want to make in the world. The money you want to make, the way you want to travel and live the lifestyle you want to live while also growing your business. You’ve got these big visions of what that looks like, but you’re not sure how to get there.
Part of the challenge a lot of times is just how do we position all of who we are and what we’re passionate about to turn it into a real business. Today, I want to share with you the six questions you need to be asking yourself in order to get clear on what the next level is of your brand.
What Problem Do You Solve?
The first one is what problem do you solve? What is that very clear, very specific problem that you’re going to be known for solving in the world?
What are you Passionate About?
The second is what are you passionate about? Now, passion can be what lights you up. It can also be what ticks you off. Think about whatever that thing is, could lock yourself in a room for the next year and write a book about it? That is going to be part of what you’re passionate about.
So those two questions are going to be more about what your brand itself is going to be about. The second two questions are more about your positioning as an expert.
What Have You Researched?
What have you studied? Basically, what are you an expert in? You can think about this kind of metaphorically, like what are the letters behind your name? Now you don’t actually need to have those to build a personal brand. What are the courses you’ve taken? What degrees do you have? What do you have certifications in? What have you read a lot of books on? What podcasts do you listen to?
Then the balancing question to that is…
What Do You Have Results in?
What do you actually have results in? You probably see there’s a lot of people online teaching you how to become an internet millionaire and they’ve never done it themselves. One of the things my team and I at Brand Builders Group believe in, is really only teaching what you know. So this could be what results have you gotten in your own life, in the lives of your clients? What is your super power? What does that thing that just comes naturally to you that other people think is hard? What challenges have you overcome? Any of those can be things you’ve gotten results in.
And then the final two questions are more about how are you going to make money off of this?
What Would People Buy From You?
What would someone be willing to buy from you? Based on your answers to the first questions, what are the things someone would actually buy? Would it be one on one coaching or a group program? Would it be some kind of product or membership site? Would it be some sort of affiliate arrangement? There are all different ways you can build and monetize your brand. Really think through what would someone be willing to buy from me.
And the final question is…
What Business Do I Want To Be In?
What business do I want to be in? I know for many of my clients, time freedom is really important to them. And they care about being able to pick up and go travel if they want to. They care about not having to be tied to one on one work with clients in order to make money. It’s getting clear on how you’re going to create a business that fits your lifestyle goals. And all of that is possible for you. But it’s about being intentional on the front end.
So those six questions are where I would advise you to start if you’re trying to get clarity on the next level of your personal brand. Now, the challenge that sometimes comes with all of this is that it can be really hard to figure this out for yourself. And this is, I would say the main thing that we hear from our clients. It’s so hard when you’re so close to something, you just stopped seeing it.
I want to encourage you to get some outside perspective on these questions. That could be a friend. It could be someone who knows you well and it could also be our team.
