Hey Brand Builders, this is Elle. One of the things that I’ve noticed with our clients is that there is a commonality among them. They tend to be authors. in fact, many people come to us after already writing their first book or second book or even multiple E-books. Maybe they even have a book in the works and that’s awesome! But, there is one huge mistake that I see among the overwhelming majority of them.

 

And that mistake is they don’t have a strategy.

 

They pour time, energy, money, resources, days, and hours of their lives into writing this thing that they’re so excited about, and then nothing comes of it. They forget to strategize on what their title should be. What is the title that is gonna make people see it and go, I get it and I want it? Or what is my strategy for marketing this book? How am I going to get the word out to the world that this book exists, they need to read it, and why they should read it? Or what is my strategy for selling this book? Or how am I going to monetize it on the backend? What is the overall purpose of this book?

 

We hear a lot, ‘Well, it’s kind of like a business card.” I don’t know if people really mean that or they hear someone say it, so they think it should be. I think that if you want credibility and you’re putting it in this book, isn’t everything you’ve done credible enough? Wouldn’t you want to put time and energy in this book that actually turns it into business or something bigger for you? That you can make the impact that you really do want to make?
